R & Python Programmer Paula Villasante Soriano

Hi, I’m Paula Villasante. I am currently finishing my master’s degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics in UOC-UB University, and I am fluent in programming languages such as R, Python, bash and SQL.

I am a Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Intern aspiring to simplify progress in scientific research, and I am passionate about data science and programming. After a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I completed a master’s degree in Basic and Applied Neurosciences.

Due to my desire to contribute in science research, my interest in the innovative approaches on data analysis started to grow. My master’s degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics has led me to fall in love with programming and data science. Furthermore, I define myself as a curious person and someone who tries to make the most out of its time, and reach both professional and personal objectives.

As a resume, I love programming! But I also like to read, listen to music, travel around the world and hang out with my friends and family.

On Statistics Globe, I’m responsible for the creation of R and Python tutorials for the Statistics Globe website. I focus on topics such as the ggplot2 package or using different functions in R programming language. I have visited many tutorials from Statistics Globe before, and it’s a pleasure being able to work here in order to solve programming doubts we all programmers have had.
