Ömer Ekiz | Informatics & Python Programming
Hi, I’m Ömer Ekiz. I’m currently studying for my master’s degree in Informatics at TU München. I’m fluent in Python, C++, SQL, and Java.
I have worked as a data scientist at Getir for 6 months when I was in my semester of my bachelor’s degree at Sabanci University. During my experience as a data scientist, I worked on creating analysis reports of business performances and improved the algorithms which were used live, based on the forecasts models we developed and used. The most essential project I worked on was the “live promotion handler project” which basically updated the available promotions to the users every 5 minutes, based on the congestion of the warehouses.
I’m interested in the fields of Data Science and Cybersecurity, so those are the fields I will be focusing on during my master’s studies. I love working on problems for hours and then discussing them with others.
I really enjoy computer science in general and love being involved with programming in all aspects. Besides work, I love riding my bicycle, listening to some chill, rock or sometimes house music and love doing sports.
On Statistics Globe, I’m responsible for the creation of Python tutorials for the Statistics Globe website. I focus on various topics about Python programming which will hopefully be useful to you. It’s a pleasure being able to work here to help other fellow programmers throughout the struggles we all face during our programming experience.
