Hi, my name is Matthias Bäuerlen and I’m responsible for the YouTube appearance as well as for the public communication and relations of Statistics Globe since August 2021. On this page, I’ll give you a brief overview about my professional background and my responsibilities on Statistics Globe.
I have experience in the field of education and as an orthopedic technician. Furthermore, I always enjoyed working with computer software and online tools. I love to improve online workflows such as the tutorial creation process on Statistics Globe.
Joachim and I know each other since more than 10 years, and I was always interested in the different components of content creation and the marketing of this content online. I’m happy that I can now work in this field myself, and that I can actively contribute to the development of Statistics Globe.
On Statistics Globe, I’m mainly responsible for the following four tasks:
1) Together with my colleague Micha Gengenbach, I edit videos for the Statistics Globe YouTube channel. For this task, I combine the features of the video editing software Adobe Premiere with my creative mind to visualize Joachim and his R code as good as possible! 😉
2) Want to stay up to date with the latest news on Statistics Globe? I’m the man you’re looking for! I help to create the Statistics Globe newsletter, and I make sure that Joachim responds to your comments and questions in a timely manner.
3) I get in touch with other websites and statistical platforms to promote Statistics Globe and to discuss collaborations such as guest articles and guest appearances in YouTube videos. For this task, I’m relentlessly crawling through the web to find new partnerships. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with me, in case you have any business proposals!
4) I write new tutorials for the Statistics Globe website. I focus on the Python programming language and the datetime module, but I’m also interested in other topics as well as other programming languages such as R. Please find a list of all my articles I’ve written on Statistics Globe below:
